Reza a lenda que estas molduras eram um perigo, pois são feitas de material condutor e que ao tocarem em simultâneo nos dois polos da bateria, causavam um curto-circuito que poderia até causar um fogo no compartimento do motor e eventualmente, a perda completa do veículo.
Creio que esta moldura não será aplicada até se arranjar uma solução que isole bem a bateria, até lá, fica debaixo do banco do condutor!

As the legends goes, these clamps were notoriously unreliable, made from metal, if the frame touched both battery terminals simultaneously, it caused a short circuit that could burn the whole vehicle to the ground, "originally dangerous", or so it seems.
I reckon i will keep this clamp "on hold" until i find a solution to isolate the battery properly, till then, it will be placed under the driver´s seat."
O que vos parece? Nada mal! Feita de raiz, usando a original como molde, usando até os pontos de ancoragem originais da moldura antiga. Estou muito satisfeito com o resultado final.
