Diffs - done

Ora eu levei os diferenciais para afinar e montar, como sabem não é um trabalho que se deva deixar para um novato, requere alguma prática e é mesmo preciso saber.

Tinha tido um problema com o retentor do pinhão de ataque, não cabia no sítio e impedia que o veio rodasse livremente como é suposto, os retentores antigos têm um "casing" de metal e são completamente planos, o mesmo não acontece com as peças novas de substituição. Enfim, vamos ver quanto tempo dura, Land Rovers no seu melhor!

Depois de afinados e prontos, foi altura de os colocar no seu devido lugar. 

Estou a aguardar que venham umas peças que não tenho, inclusive dois bujões novos, enviei os bujões dos orifícios de cima para zincar (que são rectangulares e bastante mais resistentes que os de baixo). 

Resumindo, faltam juntas, parafusos e 20 pernos de roda (que pelos vistos comprei 20 errados), espero que em breve esteja cá tudo para que possa montar o restante e ter o chassis assente nas rodas, finalmente, ao fim de 3 anos!

I took my differentials to set right for backlash and assemble, as you know, its not an easy job and should be led by professionals, you really must know what you´re doing.

I had a problem with the pinion gear seal, didn't fit properly and kept the pinion to the turn freely as it should, the old seals have a metal casing and are completely plain, the same doesn't go for new replacement parts. Anyway, lets see how it turns out and how long it lasts, Land Rover at its finest.

So the diffs are now ready and its time to put them back in their rightful place.

I am currently waiting for two new oil plugs (lower) and i sent the upper plugs to zinc coating (they are rectangular and more usable than the others).

Summing up, i am missing gaskets, bolts and 20 new wheel studs ( as it seems, i bought 20 wrong ones), i hope i get everything i´m missing soon, so that i can assemble the rest and finally have a rolling chassis, after 3 long years! I miss my yellow rust bucket.
